First of all, let us begin by saying that we are considering for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital or veteran status, or the presence of a non-job-related medical condition or handicap as stated in our application. San Francisco, Bay Area is a very diverse place and many of the elders in need of care don't speak English as their primary language. A lot of our clients are bilingual therefore we prefer that our caregivers are bilingual as well but it is not necessary.
It is preferred that an applicant should have their own mode of transportation, because some of our clients live far away from public transportation. Most of our clients require that a caregivers who is working hourly, would
have a California Driver License. For Live-in or Hospice Care, Driver License is not necessary, but is still preferred.
Caregivers' experience is most relevant to his or her placement. Specific knowledge of our specialties: Diabetes Care, Alzheimer's Care, Parkinson's Care, Heart Surgery Recovery, Cancer Survivors, Visually Impaired / Blind Care, Paralysis Care, Hospice is going to widen caregiver's opportunities.
Some of our clients require that a caregiver will go through the process of Background Check. It is a simple procedure to check if a caregiver has a clean record with the Department of Justice. It is not necessary, but once again like with above mentioned points it is preferred by the client.
